Three game mini-plans priced at just $40 for the 2017 NIU football season are now on sale by visiting NIUHuskies.com or calling 815-753-PACK (7225).
The Black Mini-Plan includes the 2017 season opening game versus Boston College on Friday, Sept. 1, as the Eagles become the first Atlantic Coast Conference team to play in Huskie Stadium since the University of Maryland in 2003. Kickoff for the game, which will be televised on CBS Sports Network, is at 8:30 p.m. CT. Additional games in the Black Mini-Plan are the Battle for the Bronze Stalk versus Ball State University on Thursday, Nov. 9, and the Senior Day game versus Western Michigan University on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
The Western Michigan game is also one of three games in the Red Mini-Plan. Other games in the Red Mini-Plan are the Family Weekend game versus Eastern Illinois University on Saturday, Sept. 9, and the matchup on Thursday, Oct. 26, versus Eastern Michigan University.
Mini-plan purchasers receive all the benefits of season ticket members, including exclusive invitations to special events throughout the year and excellent seat locations on the west side of Huskie Stadium for all three games. Call 815-753-PACK (7225) to order, stop by the NIU Athletics Ticket Office in the Convocation Center Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or go online at NIUHuskies.com (or use the links above).
NIU Athletics also announced several upgrades to the fan experience at Huskie games for 2017, beginning in the concessions area with a revised menu, enhanced emphasis on service and the addition of sellers in the stands. Select concession items, including beer, will now be sold in the stands on the west side of Huskie Stadium, while beer sales will be available at many of the west concession stands instead of in separate locations.
Fan who enjoy the atmosphere and offerings in The Yard, NIU’s official pregame tailgate area, can enjoy the area in comfort on Oct. 26 (Eastern Michigan), Nov. 9 (Ball State) and Nov. 15 (Western Michigan) as The Yard moves inside the Kenneth and Ellen Chessick Practice Center during the #MACtion games in 2017. All the amenities and experiences of The Yard, including the band, stage, video board, Kids Zone, Huskie Athletic Fund tent and food and beverage choices, will be available two hours prior to kickoff. The Yard is free and open to everyone.
Changes are coming to the parking area on the east side of Huskie Stadium, where the student tailgate area will move to the southwest corner, RV parking will be relocated to the southeast corner of the east grass and donor parking will be on the north side.
Each End Zone Club pass now includes an east side (general admission) season ticket and a limited number of seats, along with popcorn and assorted snacks, a heated tent and a full premium cash bar, not to mention a chance to experience the action from field level.
Season tickets for all six games remain available at prices as low as $60 (for east side general admission) with two different Family Pack options, featuring four season tickets for just $199 or $299, depending on seat locations. Click here to see all the 2017 season ticket pricing options.
