Coleman Named Woman of the Year

The National Association of Professional Women has named Vicki D. Coleman as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle.

She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and more than 200 local chapters.

An anger management expert, behavioral health specialist, clinical mental health counselor and online professor, Coleman is internationally recognized and respected for her work in the fields of mental health, counseling, education and research.

Her roles include president and CEO of The Coleman Group and The Anger Doctor, as well as clinical director at Glass House Counseling Agency LLC. At these firms, she uses the skills she has honed to provide services and research for individuals, families, institutions and organizations in the areas of anger management, addiction and substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault and conflict resolution. She conducts national and international workshops, develops programs and evaluates institutions for accreditation.

In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Coleman, a former tenured professor at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, has held a number of positions in higher education, mental health, social services, criminal justice, the food and beverage industry and transportation, including at the State University of New York, Northwestern University, the Educational Testing Service and American Airlines.
