Brent Brodeski is this year’s Rockford Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.
Brodeski is the CEO, co-founder and principal at Savant Capital Management, an investment advisory firm headquartered in Rockford.
In addition to his business involvement, Brodeski has served on various boards, including Boy Scouts of America, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, the Northern Illinois University Foundation, the Rock Valley College Foundation, the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and its CEO Succession Task Force.
Brodeski was selected as the Citizen of the Year “due to his unequaled passion for helping others, doing the right things day in and day out and carrying out a philosophy that citizens should work at all times toward the betterment of their community through broad economic participation, involved public and private volunteer leadership and in defense of viable and definable social causes that improve the lives of fellow citizens,” a Chamber of Commerce news release states.
He is a graduate of Rock Valley College and earned his MBA from Northern in 1991.
