Former NIU quarterback Jordan Lynch was recently interviewed by Comcast SportsNet about a private practice that was to occur last Friday with the Chicago Bears.
The Bears are reportedly willing to look at the Mount Carmel native as a backup quarterback. The quarterbacks currently listed on the Bears roster are star Jay Cutler and backups Jordan Palmer and Jerrod Johnson.
Lynch, who was a Heisman Trophy candidate, told ChicagoFootball.com earlier this month that his agent has been in contact with eight to 10 teams, half of which are considering him as a quarterback and the other half looking at him for another role.
He plans to spend the NFL draft with family to celebrate, if his name is called.
