The NIU Alumni Association’s 13th annual Holiday Reception drew a crowd of more than 300 guests Thursday, December 12, at the University Club of Chicago.
The free event provided an opportunity for alumni to speak with NIU President Douglas D. Baker and enjoy great food and student entertainment.
President Baker shared his plans to promote student career success. As part of that goal, he is advocating student internships as the most important factor to lead students to a job.
Guests also enjoyed listening to holiday songs from NIU a cappella groups, the Huskie Hunks and Northern Notes.
