Alumni Leaders Needed for NIU Cares Day

Alumni Leaders Needed for NIU Cares Day

As an alumnus or alumna, we know that you enjoy reconnecting with NIU and one way to do that is by volunteering for the annual NIU Cares Day, which will be held from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22.

If you enjoy working with students and helping the community, then you’ll find it rewarding to serve as a project site leader that day. Student Involvement & Leadership Development is looking for individuals to serve as a primary contact for teams assigned to sites during the day of service. You will primarily assist with communication for the student volunteers, the site supervisor and home base.

An hour-long training is provided prior to the event and volunteers can choose a time that works best for them. Volunteers will receive a T-shirt. Please note that you will need to provide your own transportation to the assigned project site. If you are interested in volunteering for this great opportunity, please register here.

If you have any questions about this volunteer position or NIU Cares Day in general, please contact Liz McKee at Lmckee1@niu.edu or visit http://go.niu.edu/niucaresday.
