2 for 1: NCAA Golf, Victor E. Ball

April 4th, 2017

NIU fans and supporters can now enjoy both the Second Annual Victor E. Ball and receive VIP access to the 2017 NCAA Division I golf championships for the price of one ticket.

The Victor E. Ball, the athletic department’s premier fundraising event to directly support the Huskies’ 400 student-athletes, will be held Saturday, April 29, in the Kenneth and Ellen Chessick Practice Center on the NIU campus. Then from May 19 through May 31, NIU and its home golf course, Rich Harvest Farms, will host the nation’s top collegiate golfers as the 2017 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s golf championships come to Sugar Grove.

Through April 28, 2017, individuals who purchase a ticket, support a student-athlete or purchase a table to the Victor E. Ball will receive one of the following NCAA Experience packages for May’s NCAA golf championships:

  • One NCAA Experience Individual Day Pass for the NCAA golf championships with each purchase of an individual ticket or student-athlete support ticket to the Victor E. Ball;
  • Two NCAA Experience Individual Weekly Passes to the NCAA golf championships with purchase of a table for the Victor E. Ball

The offer extends to all individuals who have already purchased tickets to the Victor E. Ball.

The NCAA Experience is an upscale VIP venue close to the golf action near the 17th hole at Rich Harvest Farms. Both NCAA Experience packages include VIP parking at Rich Harvest Farms, an all-inclusive breakfast and lunch, two drink tickets, access to a tented venue with seating and video monitors to following the televised action on the golf course. Tentative NCAA Experience activities being scheduled are celebrity meet and greets, appearances by Golf Channel talent, photo opportunities with the NCAA golf championship trophy and access to the NIU Huskie Pride Hospitality tent, located adjacent to the NCAA Experience venue.

The Victor E. Ball is the premier fundraising event for NIU Athletics and features guest speaker Jerry Kill, NIU’s former football coach who went on to become the Big Ten Coach of the Year. Celebrity guests will include NIU head coaches, current student-athletes, 2013 Heisman Trophy finalist Jordan Lynch and NIU Hall of Fame and former San Diego Chargers and Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner. Chicago comic Adam Grabowski will emcee the evening, which will include inspirational stories from former and current Huskie student-athletes and a silent and live auction.
